১. পরিচিতি
বুড়িহাটি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় বাংলাদেশের টাঙ্গাইল জেলার মির্জাপুর উপজেলার বুড়িহাটি গ্রামে অবস্থিত একটি সরকারি অনুমোদিত মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়। বিদ্যালয়টি শুধু একটি শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান নয়; এটি এলাকার মানুষের ঐক্য, শ্রম ও শিক্ষানুরাগের প্রতীক। গ্রামীণ শান্ত পরিবেশে অবস্থিত এই বিদ্যালয় শিক্ষার্থীদের জ্ঞান, শৃঙ্খলা ও নৈতিক মূল্যবোধে গড়ে তুলতে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে।
২. প্রতিষ্ঠার পটভূমি ও ইতিহাস
১৯৮০-এর দশকের মাঝামাঝি সময়ে বুড়িহাটি গ্রামের যুবসমাজ উপলব্ধি করে যে খেলাধুলার পাশাপাশি শিক্ষার জন্য একটি স্থায়ী ও সংগঠিত প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রয়োজন। এই চিন্তা থেকেই ১৫ নভেম্বর ১৯৮৯ খ্রিস্টাব্দে বুড়িহাটি সম্রাট আনসার ও ভিডিপি ক্লাব প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। ক্লাবটি খেলাধুলা, সমাজসেবা ও শিক্ষার প্রসারে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে।
বুড়িহাটি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় শুধু একটি শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান নয়, এটি বুড়িহাটি গ্রামের মানুষের শ্রম, ঐক্য ও শিক্ষানুরাগের প্রতীক। বিদ্যালয়টির প্রতিষ্ঠার গল্পে গ্রামবাসীর শিক্ষা ও সমাজ উন্নয়নের প্রতি গভীর আগ্রহ সুস্পষ্টভাবে প্রতিফলিত হয়েছে।
১৯৮০-এর দশকের মাঝামাঝি সময়ে বুড়িহাটির তরুণরা ফসলি জমিতে ফুটবল খেলত, কারণ এলাকায় কোনো উপযুক্ত খেলার মাঠ ছিল না। সে সময় গ্রামের যুবসমাজ উপলব্ধি করে যে, শুধু খেলাধুলা নয়, শিক্ষার ক্ষেত্রেও একটি সংগঠিত উদ্যোগ অত্যন্ত প্রয়োজন।
এই উপলব্ধি থেকেই ১৫ নভেম্বর ১৯৮৯ সালে বুড়িহাটি সম্রাট আনসার ও ভিডিপি ক্লাব প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। ক্লাবটির উদ্দেশ্য ছিল গ্রামের যুবকদের ঐক্যবদ্ধ করা এবং খেলাধুলা, সমাজসেবা ও শিক্ষার প্রসার ঘটানো। তারা বিভিন্ন ক্ষুদ্র উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে কাজ শুরু করে, যেমন অর্থ সংগ্রহ, দরিদ্র পরিবারকে সহায়তা প্রদান, বিবাহে সহযোগিতা এবং জাতীয় দিবস উদযাপন। সময়ের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তারা উপলব্ধি করে যে, গ্রামের সবচেয়ে বড় প্রয়োজন একটি স্থায়ী বিদ্যালয়। এ ভাবনা থেকেই বিদ্যালয় প্রতিষ্ঠার স্বপ্নের জন্ম হয়।
১৯৯৭ সালে ক্লাবের সদস্যদের মধ্যে বিদ্যালয়ের বর্তমান প্রধান শিক্ষক মোহাম্মদ আনোয়ার হোসেন, সহকারী শিক্ষক মোহাম্মদ শামসুল আলম এবং অন্যান্য সদস্যদের উদ্যোগে গ্রামের কেন্দ্রে একটি জমি ক্রয় করা হয়। পরবর্তীতে এই জমিকেই বিদ্যালয়ের স্থায়ী স্থান হিসেবে নির্ধারণ করা হয়। ক্লাবের সক্রিয় সহযোগিতা এবং গ্রামের প্রবীণদের উৎসাহে বিদ্যালয় নির্মাণকাজ শুরু হয়। ভূমি ভরাট, ভবনের ভিত্তি স্থাপন এবং প্রথম শ্রেণিকক্ষ নির্মাণসহ সব কাজই সম্পন্ন হয় গ্রামবাসীর সম্মিলিত পরিশ্রমে।
বিদ্যালয় প্রতিষ্ঠায় অনেক সম্মানিত ব্যক্তির অবদান রয়েছে। তাঁদের মধ্যে মোবারক হোসেন, সাবেক ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান, এবং একাব্বর হোসেন, সাবেক উপজেলা চেয়ারম্যান ও সংসদ প্রার্থী, উল্লেখযোগ্য। তাঁরা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদান করেন, যার ফলে নির্মাণকাজ দ্রুত সম্পন্ন হয়।
২০০১ সালে বিদ্যালয় উদ্বোধনের দিনটি ছিল গ্রামের জন্য এক ঐতিহাসিক ও আনন্দময় মুহূর্ত। ওই অনুষ্ঠানে গ্রামের প্রবীণ ব্যক্তিবর্গ, শিক্ষক, স্থানীয় নেতৃবৃন্দ এবং আশপাশের বিদ্যালয়ের প্রায় আট থেকে দশজন প্রধান শিক্ষক উপস্থিত ছিলেন। সেই দিন থেকেই বিদ্যালয়টি শুধু শিক্ষার কেন্দ্র নয়, বরং সংস্কৃতি ও সামাজিক ঐক্যের এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মিলনকেন্দ্রে পরিণত হয়।
প্রতিষ্ঠার পর থেকে বুড়িহাটি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় ধারাবাহিকভাবে শিক্ষার মানোন্নয়নে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। বিদ্যালয়ের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সদস্যদের নাম, ছবি ও বিস্তারিত তথ্য প্রধান শিক্ষকের দপ্তরে সংরক্ষিত রয়েছে, যা শিক্ষার্থী ও দর্শনার্থীদের ত্যাগ, ঐক্য ও সংগ্রামের স্মৃতি স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয়।
আজ বুড়িহাটি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় দৃঢ় সংকল্প, ঐক্য ও পরিশ্রমের এক উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত। এ প্রতিষ্ঠান শিক্ষা বিস্তারে আলো ছড়িয়ে যাচ্ছে এবং গ্রামের উন্নয়ন ও সমৃদ্ধিতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে চলেছে।

In the mid-1980s, the young people of Burihati village realised that along with sports activities, the community also needed a permanent and well-organized institution to support education. From this realization, the Burihati Samrat Ansar and VDP Club was established on 15 November 1989. The club has since played an important role in promoting sports, social service, and educational development in the village.
Burihati High School is not merely an educational institution; it is a symbol of the hard work, dedication, and unity of the people of Burihati village. The story of its establishment reflects the villagers’ deep love for education and their strong sense of community spirit.
In the mid-1980s, the young boys and girls of Burihati used to play football on farmland, as there was no proper playground in the area. During this time, the local youth realised that the village needed more than sports; it also required organised efforts for education and social development. From this realisation, the Burihati Samrat Ansar and VDP Club was founded on 15 November 1989. The main objective of the club was to unite the village youth and promote sports, social service, and education.
The club members began their journey with small initiatives, such as collecting modest donations, helping poor families, assisting in wedding ceremonies, and celebrating national days. Gradually, they came to understand that the greatest need of the village was a permanent educational institution. From this understanding, the dream of establishing a school began to take shape.
In 1997, the current Head Teacher of the school, Mohammad Anowar Hossain, Assistant Teacher Md. Shamsul Alam, along with other club members, purchased a piece of land in the centre of the village. This land was later designated as the permanent site of the school. With the active support of the club and the encouragement of village elders, construction work commenced. Land filling, foundation work, and the construction of the first classroom were all completed through the united efforts and voluntary labour of the villagers.
Several respected community leaders also played significant roles in the establishment of the school. Among them, Mr. Mobarak Hossain, former Union Parishad Chairman, and Mr. Ekabbor Hossain, former Upazila Chairman and parliamentary candidate, provided important financial support. Their contributions helped ensure that the construction work was completed efficiently and smoothly.
The inauguration of the school was a joyful and historic moment for the village. The opening ceremony was attended by village elders, teachers, local leaders, and approximately eight to ten head teachers from neighbouring schools. From that day onward, the school became not only a centre of learning but also a hub of social and cultural development for the community.
Since its establishment, Burihati High School has continued to work steadily toward improving the quality of education. The names, photographs, and detailed information of the founding members are carefully preserved in the Head Teacher’s office, serving as a reminder to students and visitors of the unity, sacrifice, and dedication behind the creation of this institution.
Today, Burihati High School stands as a proud example of what determination, teamwork, and collective effort can achieve. It continues to spread the light of education and plays a vital role in the development and prosperity of Burihati village.
৩. প্রশাসন ও ব্যবস্থাপনা
বিদ্যালয়ের সুষ্ঠু পরিচালনা ও উন্নয়নে একটি দক্ষ প্রশাসনিক কাঠামো বিদ্যমান।
- চেয়ারম্যান (বিদ্যালয় পরিচালনা কমিটি): বিদ্যালয়ের সার্বিক উন্নয়ন ও কমিউনিটি কার্যক্রম তদারকি।
- প্রধান শিক্ষক: মোহাম্মদ আনোয়ার হোসেন — একাডেমিক ব্যবস্থাপনা, শৃঙ্খলা ও প্রশাসনিক দায়িত্ব পালন।
- শিক্ষক ও কর্মচারী: প্রায় ২০ জন টিচিং ও নন-টিচিং স্টাফ।
৪. একাডেমিক কার্যক্রম
বুড়িহাটি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ে ঢাকা শিক্ষা বোর্ডের অধীনে **ষষ্ঠ থেকে দশম শ্রেণি** পর্যন্ত পাঠদান করা হয়। নিয়মিত পাঠদান, সাপ্তাহিক মূল্যায়ন, অর্ধবার্ষিক ও বার্ষিক পরীক্ষা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। পাশাপাশি সহশিক্ষা কার্যক্রম হিসেবে—

বিদ্যালয়টি প্রতি বছর সন্তোষজনক ফলাফল অর্জন করে। শিক্ষার্থীরা একাডেমিক শিক্ষার পাশাপাশি সহশিক্ষা কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহণ করে জেলা ও উপজেলায় সুনাম অর্জন করছে।

বিদ্যালয়টি টাঙ্গাইল জেলার দক্ষিণ অংশে, মির্জাপুর শহর থেকে প্রায় ২ কিলোমিটার দূরে কান্ঠালিয়া রোড বুড়িহাটি গ্রামে অবস্থিত। সবুজ মাঠ ও শান্ত গ্রামীণ পরিবেশে ঘেরা বিদ্যালয় চত্বরটি শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য একটি মনোরম ও উপযুক্ত শিক্ষা পরিবেশ নিশ্চিত করে।

বুড়িহাটি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় স্থানীয় শিক্ষার মান উন্নয়নে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখছে। বিদ্যালয়টি শিক্ষার্থীদের জ্ঞান, শৃঙ্খলা ও সামাজিক মূল্যবোধে গড়ে তুলে মির্জাপুর অঞ্চলের একটি সম্মানিত শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
